Rules & Regulations

By entering The Pines Resort, all visitors acknowledge and agree to adhere to the following rules and regulations. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the premises.

1. Admission and Entry Policies

  • Right of Admission Reserved: Management reserves the right of admission.

  • Bag and Gift Searches: All bags and gifts (e.g., birthday, Christmas) are subject to search to enforce the no-glass and no-alcohol policies.

  • Ticket Sales: Tickets must be purchased through Webtickets or at any Pick N Pay store. No tickets are sold at the gate, and availability is limited.

  • Refund Policy: Once Webtickets are exchanged for wristbands, no refunds will be issued. Refunds for unused tickets must adhere to the Webtickets refund policy (see website for details).

  • Ticket Exchanges: Upgrades and exchanges for waterpark tickets are allowed. Downgrades are not permitted.

  • Wristbands: Wristbands must be worn at all times. Damaged wristbands will be considered invalid.

  • Gate Passes: No gate passes will be issued once you have entered.

2. Safety and Liability

  • Supervision of Children: Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times within the resort premises.

  • Facility Usage: All facilities are used at the individual’s own risk. Management is not liable for injuries, accidents, theft, or damage to personal property.

  • Weather Conditions: Resort facilities remain operational regardless of weather conditions, except during lightning or thunderstorms. Management reserves the right to close certain facilities for safety reasons.

  • First Aid: Trained staff and lifeguards are available on-site for basic first-aid.

3. Alcohol and Food Policies

  • Alcohol Policy: Only alcohol purchased from the venue is allowed. Bringing personal alcohol onto the premises or parking area is strictly prohibited.

  • Drink Containers: Drinking glasses and cold drink bottles are not allowed. Plastic containers are permitted.

  • Braai and Picnic Areas: Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not allowed.

4. Facility Rules

  • Operating Hours: The resort closes at 5:00 pm. Water slides and swimming pools close at 4:30 pm.

  • Attire for Water Activities: Only synthetic costumes or appropriate swimwear may be worn on water slides and in pools. Prohibited items include denim, belts, studded shorts, buttons, zips, jewelry, hats, and sunglasses.

  • Age Restrictions: Major slides are restricted to guests aged 8 to 59 years and pensioners. Kiddie slides are designated for ages 3 to 7 years.

  • Electrical Points: No electrical points are available for public use.

  • Smoking Policy: Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.

5. Conduct and Prohibited Items

  • Music Devices: Music devices are not allowed within the premises.

  • Prohibited Items: Firearms, weapons, professional photography equipment, and drones are not allowed. Exceptions may apply for permitted events.

  • Intellectual Property: Unauthorized use of The Pines Resort name, logos, or images for advertising purposes is prohibited.

  • No Pets: Pets are not allowed within the resort.

6. Cancellation and Special Policies

  • Lapa Booking Cancellation: A 50% cancellation fee applies to canceled lapa bookings. No refunds are issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the booking date.

  • Load Shedding: Most facilities remain operational during load shedding, except for certain major rides. No refunds or discounts will be provided.

7. Special Tickets

  • Pensioner Tickets: Pensioner tickets require a valid ID or driver’s license. Failure to present these documents may result in paying the full entrance fee.

  • Combo Tickets: Combo tickets are for individuals aged 8 years and older, allowing access to both the Water Park and Rope Adventure Park. Rope Adventure Park access includes one round only, with zip lines and climbing obstacles included.

8. Parking

  • Parking Disclaimer: Parking is at the individual’s own risk. Management is not responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or belongings.

9. Capacity and Emergency Policies

  • Capacity Control: Management reserves the right to limit the number of visitors within the resort.

  • Emergency Evacuation: Follow staff instructions in the event of an emergency.
